This is a mutated pineapple.
The condition is called fasciation. When the plant's single growing point gets damaged, it develops multiple growing points instead, producing this flattened, contorted form.
It can be triggered by bacteria, fungi, viruses, genetics, or simple physical damage. The result looks like something a botanist and a horror director designed together.
Rare. Real. Completely harmless.
