Fun Fact: while Carrie Fisher played Princess Leia and James Earl Jones voiced Leia's father Darth Vader in the Original Trilogy, somehow throughout the years the two of them had never met. You would just think that being two tremendously famous people who both had a direct involvement with the Star Wars films, their paths would have crossed over the years, but no.
Until 2014, that is, when the most popular comedy series on television at the time - The Big Bang Theory - got them both to guest star in the same episode (Season 7, Episode 14, "The Convention Conundrum"). In the episode, Sheldon runs into James Earl Jones in a restaurant, and after becoming fast pals the two go out for a fun night on the town where they ultimately make a late-night visit to Carrie Fisher's house. Carrie cautiously answers the door holding a baseball bat, only to find Sheldon and and James Earl Jones standing outside. It made for a very fun episode.
According to Big Bang Theory showrunner Steve Motaro, when Carrie and James finally met on stage for the first time, a smiling Carrie raised her arms in the air while approaching James Earl Jones and loudly shouted out, "Daddy!"
